V3 is well and truly on the way now

V3 is well and truly on the way now. Parts I have got so far. The Mobo ( Abit with an AMD 2600 & 512Mb ), a GPRS card, Bluetooth Dongle. For the most part the the back end of the system can now start to be built. The case is going to be a unique system which effectively will be a case within a case. Using what I call modules and arrays I will be able to create a custom looking system with can easily and with very few modifications to the cage ( or outer case ) be installed in to a new car. This was important to me as I will be spending a lot of time on the system and wanted to make sure like every thing else it could come with me when I change the car. It also has the added advantage by using the 'modules' and 'arrays' that a lot of kit can be packed in to such a small area.
Just a quick reminder that the book ( Car PC Hacks ) that I contributed to is now available for order ( UK Link on the home page ). You will also see me else where as well, for the UK - if based in Scotland keep and eye out on 'Fast and Modified' as me and a few of the UK lads had a photo shoot and interviews for a forth coming article on Carpc's. Also I have been asked to contribute some pictures and information to an article that CarHacks will be writing for CNet... Updates when I get them.
PS Got a dead line now for v3 - brownv3 is due in December of this year so we will have a new family member just in time for Christmas :)

Well, new web site and new project

Well, new web site and new project. Yep, I now am in the process of starting v3.... its got to be done. Have a look around the site its self. You should find it easier to find what ever you need ( although I need to sort the search button out yet ). It is basically ready for me to start adding to it while I carry on documenting the next implementation of my Telematics system. If you new sign up for the mail updates form the main index page and if not and you come across any bad links drop me a line, please :)
