Well I have been planning this now for some time now... Let me give you a quick rundown of what I have been looking at and where I am. I have a PC as you will see below how ever it does not have a standard power supply so I am going to have to look for an ITX system - same idea however different PSU input and easy to connect a car supply to it. The interface is coming on now as you will see below. I still need to get the main screen designed - problem with that I just can't make my mind up as to what it should look like. The GPS ( around £90 imported ) is bought and I have tried it out last weekend - very good response and well recommended. I have found a way of cutting the boot time by using a programme call Winlite, I will update this link later on. I plan to buy a 7" touch screen from here - Digitalww. They have had some good write ups on mp3car.com and apart from the fact its USB and should not glare at me at night because I will have full control and it works out about £210 imported in to the UK... Not a bad deal.
