Broadcast October 07 - The Latest Small World Media News Letter

Two big bits of news.... the first one technical. Small World are about to offer the fastest speeds available in the country.... from 18mb up to 30 Mb which is 10Mb faster than Virgin Media as this is been posted. To add to this the current 8mb users will also be upgraded to 20Mb setting the new bar for ISPs to follow. The non techy news is that Small world are now official sponsors of the Kilmarnock Football Club furthering their commitment to local communities. The full news letter can be downloaded here. Essential maintenance to Digital TV Platform Week commencing 30 April 2007

Over the period 30/04/07 - 03/05/07 Smallworld will be carrying out maintenance to the Digital TV platform. This work is required to enable the launch of the new Smalworld Digital TV service.

During this time customers may experience some disruption to the channel number locations. To resolve this simply re boot your set top boxes by removing the power supply for a couple of minutes and then reconnect. When the box re boots all channels should be available at the usual channel number.

Pre Small World Media Launch News

White Cable North are currently advertising new roles for sales and support for a call centre in Morecambe. This is due to a 'large investment' recently so watch this space for the results when they happen.

There have been some charge changes from August 06 - the biggest change is the lost of 24/7 calls for Super Saver from the tariffs. I've updated the charge page accordingly so you may want a look as it can cost up to an extra £10 per month how ever customers who agreed (and existing Supersaver customers to a Supersaver package before the 1st of  August 06 will still have the 24/7 calls as part of the package.

The launch of new Disney Channels
On Thursday 13th April, we will be launching a range of brand new Disney Channels for all the family.
The Disney Channel and Playhouse Disney will be placed in our ‘Basic Package’ so all our digital TV customers can enjoy the benefits at no extra cost simply by re booting your set-top box after the launch date! Disney Cinemagic and Disney Cinemagic + 1 will be available as an ‘add-on’ channel for only £4.
 

The launch of Radio Caroline
